Honeymoon Yurt can be found nestled in a cluster of Lodge Pole Pines in the Boulder Mountains. This yurt is one of four, which can be accessed via the cross-country trail system from Galena Lodge. It’s round and cozy; the perfect size for my little tribe.

A 30-minute ski gets you to the front door of Honeymoon Yurt. The views along the way are incredible, too.
Did I mention the views are incredible?

We spent a lovely night under a blanket of stars and an almost-full moon while at Honeymoon Yurt. We chatted and played games by lantern, cooked dinner over propane and read book after book next to the wood stove. This was Arco’s second yurt adventure and by his comfort and ease in such a small, unfamiliar space, he was a natural.

A Honeymoon Yurt breakfast!
Little Man and Mama are all smiles!
A celebratory coffee and sweet treat at Galena Lodge before heading home.

He adored every bit of it – soaking up and reveling in the experience. We enjoyed it too, so much, we’ve promised ourselves two, yes two, yurt excursions next year with our Little Man and baby Sprout in tow!

Such a lovely weekend getaway!
My sweet, sweet crew.
