We’ve been a tad busy as of late: house projects, unpacking hundreds of boxes, skiing and climbing with good friends, puppy-play and work have kept us from updating our sweet, sweet blog. I’ve certainly missed these updates and each of you.

I can’t believe we’re already into Spring. We’re eagerly anticipating the budding of trees and the blooming of flowers over here, and have been dreaming up neat garden ideas for our little place. We have a good-sized back yard and plan to take full advantage of the growing season as things start to settle down. We hope to clean up the yard, plant some flowers and trim a few trees. We’d like to draw some plans up for a few raised beds and hope to get them built before the onset of winter. Small apiary, vegetables-galore, hop vines, grapes and fruit trees – yes, please!

On the house front, we’ve unearthed the basics and have organized most common spaces. We are sparse with furniture, but the kitchen is coming together nicely. Our office may be the last to locate. We still have several tubs and boxes in there that need our attention – but have been really enjoying our own space to sort, store and make our very own.

Meals are getting more and more creative, and dare I say it, more delicious! I absolutely love having my own kitchen to plan, bake and cook up a delightful storm. I’ve definitely missed meal planning, recipe reading and creating (I think Ethan has too).

Our little lady pup, Chossy, is also doing well. She is on the mend from being spayed and has grown into quite the funny lady. Creative, weird, goofy and smart, she definitely keeps us on our toes. She rounds out our little family perfectly.

Over the last several months, climbing and training has slowed drastically; however, E just put the final touches on our home wall, domain of pain, and training has begun again. It’s that time of year: Spring is in the air, warmer temperatures and longer days are here to stay, and the promise of sweet summer adventures await us. We couldn’t be more excited!
