As we move into the second half of August, I find myself getting more and more anxious for the start of autumn. It is, after all, my favorite time of year (but you knew that already).
It’s been pretty humid as of late and while we may see a warm Indian Summer, I’m secretly hoping we bypass any late season heat waves and dive straight into some brisk autumn days. I’m patiently waiting for the leaves to turn, creating that crackling, gold blanket on the ground. I am excited for those refreshing mornings to take shape and those sultry fall flavors to envelop my senses. These are the days. Pumpkin grins and festive treats. Seasonal beverages, too.
To kick start our fall, I surprised Ethan with a delightful new brew, Oktoberfest: Marzen Style Lager, from ODell Brewing Company. This well-balanced beverage was just the ticket, and satisfied our recent cravings for pumpkin and spicy flavors perfectly. It’s an easy drinker and handsomely crafted. Nicely done, ODell. We have a few left and we certainly plan on savoring every drop. They are that delicate, warm welcome to my favorite season and a sweet reminder to ‘stop and enjoy’ every little thing about this time of year.
